Too far away IMO for a 57 micing a cab. I like mine between 1 to 2 inches from the grill of the cab, pointed at the edge of the dust cap where it meets the cone. I set the mic at a ~22 degree angle (midpoint between a 45 degree angle and straight on/perpendicular to the cab).
