WebMay 24, 2013 · They have air brakes. 2.5 tons have air over hydraulic and do not require a CDL. Neither are that great for SHTF. They only get 6 MPG at best and they stick out like a sore thumb. The only thing that might be great is the Multi-fuel engines will burn all sorts of stuff. I like thaem and will be getting one someday, but for FUN, not SHTF. YMMV.
