WebThe Perkasie Historical Society made national headlines in 1958 when it rescued Bucks County’s oldest covered bridge from demolition. It was one of the earliest acts of Covered Bridge historic preservation in Pennsylvania. A year later, the society presented the bridge to Perkasie Borough for safe-keeping in Lenape Park.
